Catherine's Affirmation of Faith is "The Apostle's Creed"

Catherine is a member of Congregation Lion of Judah which is a bilingual church in South End, Boston. Pastor Roberto Miranda is the Senior Pastor and Pastor Gregory Bishop oversees the English ministry. Catherine is an ordained Senior Chaplain with the International Fellowship of Chaplains www.ifoc.org. Catherine was mentored for licensing as a minister with Saved Souls Church in Trenton, NJ where Rev. Doreen Giles is Pastor. www.savedsouls.org and www.logoswordinstitute.com Saved Souls' Logos Institute for Ministry and Biblical Studies was founded by Rev. Juanita Price. The program offers instruction in laws of public speaking (modeling Jesus Christ); intensive intro to Apologetics; intro to Biblical counseling; intro to proper Hermeneutics; Leadership/Mentor Training; and hands-on prison ministry training.
Catherine is working toward a Masters of Divinty as a part-time student at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary's CUME campus in www.gcts.edu.
Catherine volunteers as Bible Study teacher for Straight Ahead Ministries www.straightahead.org which brings the Gospel of Jesus Christ to incarcerated juveniles.
Catherine is married to Shelton Miller who is also a minister. He assists in teaching and shepherding both adults and teens in foundational Biblical studies for the English ministry of Lion of Judah.
Catherine and Shelton share a blended family of three children, Sukari (19), civil engineer major at New York University Polytechnic Institute; David (24) - Lifeworks employee in Norwood, MA; and Malik (28) children's counselor and health fitness coach.
Catherine was an active member of Victory Christian Tabernacle in Brooklyn, NY from 1996 through 2005 when she relocated to Massachusetts. http://www.victorychristiantabernacle.org/ Under the mentorship of Pastor Roberta Moore and other leaders of Victory she had the opportunity to work in the administrative department and teaching children's sunday school. She began training as an altar worker and served in this role for many years being responsible for praying with and instructing new believers as they received Christ, as well as evangelism through street ministry. Catherine also helped develop Victory's dance ministry.
Catherine's cherished her mom, Pearl D. Bigger who stuck by Catherine through failures and rejoiced in her successes. Her mom taught her by example, many life long lessons about real faith and trust firmly rooted in God through Jesus Christ. Until her health prevented, Ms. Pearl was an active and faithful member of First AME Zion Church, 54 Macdonough Street, Brooklyn, NY. Ms. Pearl went home to be with the Lord on April 3, 2010. Her favorite song was "Give Me a Clean Heart" which will be the constant prayer of Catherine's heart as she works out her soul's salvation...
