These sessions focused on nurturing the talent and spirit of the young dancer.
Ages 7 and up.
 
While exploring their own creativity, the youth are encouraged by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Modern dance in itself reinforces self-awareness and discipline. These aspects all work together to strengthen the whole person, even outside of dance. Foundational modern dance technique is incorporated into every aspect of our session which runs approximately 1 ½ hours. Ms. Catherine begins with floor warm-ups, center floor work and then proceeds to teach, review and have the group dance the choreographed pieces which are set to a various types of gospel music. The children are also allowed "freestyle" time to show their own movements interpretations. The Dreamboats youth work hard preparing for their annual program and also to minister at various events. |
